CVS chief David Joyner defends MGB primary care partnership in Mass.

The CEO told Boston business leaders that he is skeptical of a state agency’s position that the partnership will add to health care costs.

The goal, Joyner argued, is to broaden primary care options to meet a desperate need. He described Massachusetts as “probably the most challenged primary care market in the country” in part because it takes so long to access a primary care provider.
