The Arizona Diamondbacks will not be trading star second baseman Ketel Marte, general manager Mike Hazen said on Friday, Jan. 9.
A high asking price and a strong free-agent market were potential reasons a trade did not materialize.
Keeping Marte means the Diamondbacks retain one of the top second basemen in the major leagues.
