Of the five candidates the Communist Party USA ran in the Nov. 4 elections this year, three won. That doubles the number of open Communist Party members ever elected to US public office stretching back over 100 years to the party’s founding in 1919. This November’s red resurrection saw open Communist Party members win races in Maine, Upstate New York and Massachusetts, with one loss in Massachusetts and another loss in Minnesota. “I support China,” Steven Estrada, a 33-year-old communist and US Army vet, told The Post. “I think in the general sense, they are a progressive force in the world.”
It’s the red dawn of a new day.
After a four-decade-long break, the Communist Party USA has picked up the hammer and sickle to resume the glorious struggle of electoral politics — and they’re already seeing success.
