It turns out there were more connections than previously known between Sebastian “Sam” Palumbo, his construction firms and a road-building group overseen by relatives known as Builders Companies. But the firms insist those ties didn’t violate Palumbo’s agreement not to participate in state or federal contracts following a 1999 guilty plea in a racketeering case.
