Legislators peppered the company’s general counsel with questions about who will keep and lose their jobs at the company, impacts to ratepayers, customer service, low-income assistance programs, and more.
The deal is set to be completed in 12-15 months, but the Montana Public Service Commission as well as the utility regulators in Nebraska and South Dakota still need to sign off on the merger.
